Djokovic Pre-Match Routine: An Adrenaline Experience at the French Open 2025 🎾🚴♂️
French Open 2025 Highlights
Dates: 25 May – 8 June
Venue: Roland Garros
Novak Djokovic’s pre-match routine for his second-round victory over Corentin Moutet at the French Open 2025 was anything but conventional. The iconic 38-year-old, aiming for a groundbreaking 25th Grand Slam singles title, was seen cycling around the famous Arc de Triomphe just before his match. Djokovic, who secured a win with scores of 6-3, 6-2, 7-6 (7-1), embraced this unique Roland Garros cycling experience with enthusiasm. 🚴
Captured on video, Djokovic appeared joyful as he skillfully navigated the bustling traffic of the roundabout, notorious for its lack of marked lanes. At one point, he adeptly avoided a white car that suddenly stopped in front of him. Most importantly, Djokovic described this as an “adrenaline” experience, saying, “Roland Garros was kind enough to gift me a bicycle, so I used it yesterday for the first time. We were kind of trying our luck a little bit with that roundabout.”
Djokovic’s Adrenaline Sports Preparation
He continued, “To be honest, at one point we had cars all over the place. It was quite an adrenaline experience, but I don’t think I will repeat that. We were crazy enough to get into that roundabout. It was fun but at one point also a bit dangerous. It’s great to see Paris from the bicycle. I think it’s just more fun.” For tips on cycling safely in traffic, check out this guide.
Arriving at Roland Garros as a three-time champion, Djokovic was in high spirits following his 100th ATP singles title win in Geneva last week. His excellent form was evident in his match against Frenchman Moutet.
Djokovic Injury Update
The only hiccup in Djokovic’s performance was a medical timeout due to a blister on his left foot during a tense third set. “It took me almost an hour to deal with the blister and the bleeding that I had,” Djokovic explained. “So they had to use injections and draw the blood out, then inject something to dry out the blister. So that was not really a pleasant process. But I don’t think it’s going to be an issue for me to recover. The good thing about Grand Slams is you have a day in between.” For more on the French Open schedule, visit the official site.
Looking ahead, Djokovic is set to face Filip Misolic on Saturday. The Austrian player advanced after a grueling five-set match against Canadian 27th seed Denis Shapovalov. Djokovic’s preparation and form continue to be the focus as he aims for another Grand Slam victory.
